The official music video for Halestorm’s cover of “Shooting Star” from the recently-release Bad Co tribute album is OUT NOW, Featuring the one and only Paul Rodgers!
“Lzzy vocally shook and rocked ‘Shooting Star’ into the stratosphere. Halestorm recorded the song at their studio in Nashville, sent me the track and I recorded my vocal ad libs plus acoustic and electric guitar parts. However, I did meet the band recently when they played in Canada and they were so respectful they touched my heart.” – Paul Rodgers
“Joining a tribute album for Bad Company is more than covering songs; it’s adding a brushstroke to a masterpiece that’s been a part of our DNA for decades. To us it feels like stepping into a legacy built on grit and soul. And it is our pleasure to honor Paul Rodgers, the man who taught rock how to stand tall and sing truth, with the kind of voice that never lets time forget it. We wouldn’t be the rockers we are today without these boys.” – Lzzy Hale, Halestorm

NEW YORK (AP) — Bad Company singer-songwriter Paul Rodgers treasures one of his last phone calls with guitarist Mick Ralphs. It was to deliver the news that, at long last, they’d been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
“I said to him, ‘Do you remember when we were looking for a band name and we called each other with silly names?’ And then I just called him up one day and I said, ’Bad Company’ and he dropped the phone and he said, ‘Oh yeah, that’s it. That’s the name,’” says Rodgers.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is less than three weeks away, and there’s still much we don’t know about the event: Is there a chance that OutKast will show up and perform for the first time in 11 years? Is there even a minuscule possibility that the White Stripes will appear together for the first time in 16 years? Who will sing with Soundgarden? How will Joe Cocker, Warren Zevon, Nicky Hopkins, and other deceased members of the new class be honored? And how exactly will Iggy Pop, Olivia Rodrigo, Elton John, David Letterman, Beck, and other special guests be utilized?
What we do know after chatting with Paul Rodgers is that Bad Company are almost certainly going to reunite for the event, marking their first live performance since 2019.

CAN’T GET ENOUGH: A TRIBUTE TO BAD COMPANY
First Ever Tribute Album to Bad Company out October 24, 2025

September 17, 2025 – One of today’s most authentic and fast-rising voices in Americana and country music, Charley Crockett has released his rendition of the classic, “Bad Company” (written by Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke) from the forthcoming tribute album, Can’t Get Enough: A Tribute to Bad Company, to be released October 24, 2025 on Primary Wave Music.
Outlaw country troubadour Charley Crockett brings grit, soul, and swagger to his cover of “Bad Company”. Known for his genre-blending style that fuses vintage country, blues, and Americana, Crockett delivers a haunting and heartfelt interpretation that feels both timeless and unmistakably his own. With a voice steeped in storytelling and defiance, Charley’s version taps into the song’s renegade spirit, reimagining it through the lens of the American West and his own life experiences: playing his pawn-shop guitar on the streets of New Orleans, hitchhiking, and riding freight trains north until he found himself busking on the streets of New York in 2009.
“What a song. Never imagined I’d be asked to cut a Bad Company tune, especially this one,” says Crockett. “I grew up cranking the volume anytime it was on a classic rock station in Texas. Still do. It’s an untouchable and timeless song. I only hope I can do it some justice.”
“Bad Company” was produced by Grammy-Award winning Shooter Jennings (Brandi Carlile, Tanya Tucker) and Crockett at Sunset Sound Studios Los Angeles. Legendary bassist, Darryl Jones – known for powering The Rolling Stones, Miles Davis, and Sting – brings his iconic groove to the track.
