BAD COMPANY MOVIN' ON 2010

Los Angeles, CA - July 30th, 2010 - Bad Company announce the production of "Movin' On 2010".  "Movin' On 2010" is a concert tour video blog and documentary production which will follow the Bad Company North American Tour 2010.

Film crews will follow the band and their crew during their daily tour activities and will film each nights show.  The Rogue HD video director describes the project as a film where the tour itself is the star, which means the cities, the venues and the fans are as much a part of the tour as the band themselves. 

The original members of Bad Company; Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke along with guitarist Howard Leese (Paul Rodgers/Heart) and Bassist Lynn Sorenson (Paul Rodgers) are giving Bad Company fans a special look into their concert tour.  The new Bad Company official iPhone and Android apps are now available at http://road.ie/bad-company and the "Movin' On 2010" tour video blog will be hosted exclusively in the smartphone apps and on the Official Bad Company website.  Fans can interact with other fans at the venues within the app, see concert video clips and a backstage look into the tour itself. Los Angeles, CA – July 7, 2010 – Legendary rock icon Paul Rodgers has announced that during his concert tours this year, both Solo and Bad Company, he will be donating rare personal stage items, autographed memorabilia and collectables for a nightly draw. All of the proceeds will be given to the Fender Centers ‘Kids Rock Free’ national music education initiative in efforts to raise money and awareness. Plus Rodgers and his wife, Cynthia, will match all monies raised.
“Without music in schools curriculum there is a void for young people to express, explore and experience music.  We are on a mission to set up this music program across the U.S.  If not for music in my life as a young person who knows where I would have focused my energy,” said Rodgers.  
The Kids Rock Free campaign provides free and low-cost music lessons to students age 7-17 and has serviced over 12,000 kids. Rodgers has dedicated himself to the program since 2003, donating his time, talent and finances. In an effort to expand the program nationwide and to help kids across the United States experience music at a very low cost or for free, the push is on to raise additional funding to make that experience a reality.

Those who wish to participate may simply visit the merchandise booth during any concert date and purchase a $5 fundraising ticket. Two random drawings will be held each night, and the winner(s) will take home one (or two) items. Monthly drawings are also being held online on Rodgers’ website, PaulRodgers.com. Rodgers and his wife, Cynthia, will match all donations made during the fund-raising drive.

Additionally, supporters of Kids Rock Free “text-to-donate” can make a $10 donation directly from their mobile phones by texting “ROCK” to 50555. The Fender Center for Music Education is a non-profit center dedicated to the music education of children. The 33,000-square-foot building is located at 365 N. Main Street, in Corona, Calif. 'Hard Rock Live' is the reunion concert from Bad Company that occurred on August 8, 2008 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida and is the only DVD that feature the original members.  The release can be purchased on iTunes, DVD or Blu-ray -- all of which include a bonus audio CD.

LOS ANGELES — The surviving members of the original Bad Company lineup — singer Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs, and drummer Simon Kirke — will reunite this summer for a 10-date U.S. tour that begins June 17 in Hollywood, FL at Hard Rock Live. A day before the tour kicks off, Rhino will celebrate the band’s return with the digital debut of Bad Company’s six Swan Song albums, and its multiplatinum hits collection 10 From 6.

On June 16, Rhino will digitally release Straight Shooter, Run With The Pack, Burnin’ Sky, Desolation Angels, Rough Diamonds, and 10 From 6 exclusively on iTunes for $9.99 each, with the band’s eponymous debut available for $7.99. The albums will be released to all other digital service providers two weeks later on June 30.

Bad Company’s multiplatinum hits such as “Can’t Get Enough,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Shooting Star,” “Movin’ On,” “Ready For Love,” and “Rock & Roll Fantasy” propelled them to the forefront of the ’70s arena rock movement. To coincide with the new tour and digital catalog releases, mastertones, ringback tones and sms tones for all six of the aforementioned tracks are available now for the first time from all mobile carriers.

The original quartet – bassist Boz Burrell died in 2006 — debuted in 1974 as the first band   signed to Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song label. Their first album topped the charts and was certified platinum five times thanks to the hits “Movin’ On,” “Can't Get Enough,” “Bad Company,” and “Ready For Love” The band returned the following year with Straight Shooter, a triple-platinum album that peaked at #3 and featured the hits “Feel Like Makin’ Love” and “Good Lovin’ Gone Bad.”

Bad Company notched its third consecutive platinum album in 1976 with Run With The Pack, a Top 5 album that featured the hits “Simple Man” and “Young Blood.” The group hit #3 on the charts in 1977 with its follow-up, Burnin’ Sky. The band returned two years later with the double platinum Desolation Angels and in 1982 with its final Swan Song release, Rough Diamonds. In 1985, Bad Company released its double-platinum hits collection 10 From 6, the title a sly reference to the collection’s 10 songs from six albums. The band will release a new live DVD featuring the original lineup, Hard Rock Live, later this year.

Los Angeles, CA – March 30, 2009 – The original members of Bad Company have announced they will reunite for a series of 10 exclusive concerts in the U.S. this summer. The opening show will take place at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL on June 17 with select dates on the tour featuring The Doobie Brothers. Previously, founding members Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke (original member Boz Burrell passed away in 2006) performed a one-off concert at the very same venue on August 8, 2008, recording a live concert DVD before a sold-out crowd. The DVD, titled “Bad Company – Hard Rock Live” will be available exclusively at shows during the concert run and is tentatively set for official release this summer, August 8, via Image Entertainment. Prior to their one performance in 2008, the band had not performed together in nearly a decade.

Rodgers, celebrating over four decades as a writing and recording artist (Free, Bad Company, The Firm, Queen + Paul Rodgers), released his debut solo DVD “Live in Glasgow,” which would go on to chart #1 and become certified Gold in Canada, as well as chart # 3 in the US and # 4 in the UK. Rodgers also released a new studio album titled “The Cosmos Rocks” with Queen + Paul Rodgers and capped 2008 with a sold-out Q+PR world tour. Most recently, Rolling Stone named Rodgers one of the “Top 100 Singers of All Time” and England’s Planet Rock Radio fan poll placed him at #3 on their “Greatest Voices of Rock” list. “These dates are to thank the fans for keeping the music alive,” said Rodgers. “I invited my friends The Doobie Brothers because I’ve always loved their music and them as people.”

“It's great to be back with Paul and Simon,” said Ralphs. “We made great music together and had the time of our lives doing it. I'm really looking forward to getting back out there this summer.” Ralphs has announced plans to participate in five reunion shows with 70s rock band Mott the Hoople at the Hammersmith Apollo in London this October.

“We had such a ball playing together again that we have decided to do some selective shows this summer,” said Kirke. “We’re also looking forward to the release of our live DVD.”

Bad Company’s multi-platinum hits such as “Can’t Get Enough,” “Feel Like Makin Love,” “Rock Steady,” “Movin’ On,” “Shooting Star,” “Rock & Roll Fantasy” and “Bad Company” helped propel them to the forefront of the 70s arena rock movement. Rodgers’ concept to write a song titled the same as the bands’ name and album was a first. To this day, the multi-platinum Bad Co. album arguably remains one of the most accomplished debuts in rock history. Throughout the 70s Rodgers’ and Ralphs’ songwriting continued to yield hit after hit including “Seagull,” “Run with the Pack,” and “Burnin’ Sky,” making Bad Company one of the biggest concert attractions of the decade. The group’s multi-platinum award-winning greatest hits set 10 from 6 has become a record collection staple.
